Car journeys, types of heating, computer consumables, all these daily uses influence our CO2 emission rate. Within the CENTURY 21 Mont-Blanc Invest agency, we have implemented a plan to compensate for this and to become a real estate agency that contributes to global carbon neutrality.
Solutions to limit its impact and offset it
At CENTURY 21 Mont-Blanc Invest, we are committed to actively participating in the reduction of greenhouse gases. This is why we have entrusted our low-carbon project to Reforest'Action. This French "B Corp" certified company operates in 35 countries thanks to the commitment of companies and citizens. With Reforest'Action, companies and individuals can finance a reforestation project to act for the climate by sequestering carbon in a natural reservoir.
Car trips, public transportation, planes, trains and other means of transportation are criteria taken into account to calculate the CO2 emission rate. In addition, the frequency, the type of gasoline used and the number of kilometers traveled are also indicators. Reducing and then offsetting your carbon impact has several benefits. It allows us to participate in the limitation of pollution, to promote biodiversity, to fight, each at its modest level, against climate change and many other positive effects for our planet. The actions undertaken are labelled Bas-Carbone, which is the only official certification for the quantification of carbon stored by forestry projects in France.
Our action at CENTURY 21 Mont-Blanc Invest
In order to accelerate the ecological transition, since May 2021, we have undertaken at CENTURY 21 Mont-Blanc Invest, an action aiming to reduce and then offset our carbon footprint. This footprint is calculated by Reforest'Action which indicates the number of trees to be planted to neutralize it. In order to contribute to the reduction of global warming, the choice was made for a reforestation in France and near Chamonix. In June 2021, 48 trees have already been planted in Motz, Savoie, which is equivalent to seven tons of CO2 offset.
Located on an area of 2.3 hectares, in a vineyard that was plagued by drought, this project is shared by various actors who help with reforestation. Hedges and trees within the parcels, especially hardwoods, in all, nearly 1,102 plants will be planted.
Compensating is good, reducing is even better
In order to pursue our approach, we do not only wish to compensate for our carbon footprint, but to go beyond it. This is why at CENTURY 21 Mont-Blanc Invest, we are committed to contributing to the well-being of the planet by planting 10 additional trees for each sale signed ! Within the agency, we are convinced that every act counts to preserve the environment. Their planting will be organized just after the signing of the deed of sale. Climate change being a global problem, we can even have our seller clients choose the location of the forest project where the 10 trees will be planted. The projects managed by Reforest'Action are present in various parts of the world and it is indeed possible for us to select the plantation of your choice.
